Mel B Says Eddie Murphy Definitely the Daddy
Melanie Brown says that there is "no doubt this is Eddie's baby. We both know this is Eddie's baby."
Mel says she welcomes his challenge to do a DNA test.
She says she has only spoken to Murphy once in the past four months. "I'm sure, at some point, we'll have to have some contact. The baby needs to be documented, and that needs the father's signature," she says.
Brown tells OK! that the couple's brief (5 month) romance was very serious and developed quickly. "We were soul mates. It was electrifying."
She says she and Murphy even had their names tattooed on eachother only days after meeting. Melanie said she will not have the tattoo removed because Eddie will always be a part of her.
The relationship was fabulous, she said, until she took the pregnancy test. Murphy was there in the bathroom with her when she got the results of a home pregnancy test.
"He was over the moon," she tells OK!.
The relationship iced over from that point on.
Melanie describes how it all went down.
Melanie was in London to tell her mother about the baby when her friend called and told her about Murphy's appearance on Dutch TV where he claimed he was no longer with Melanie and that the child was not his.
Days earlier, "Eddie had called to reassure (my mother) that he loved me," Brown says. So she was "in shock" when she landed back in Los Angeles and the media swarmed her asking about the child. Brown says she then called Murphy and said he'd call back. He never did.
"Maybe one day Eddie will tell me why this happened. I am now more confident and grounded than I have ever been."

Mel B Names Eddie Murphy As Infant's Father
Melanie Brown's publicist, Nadine Bibi, confirmed today that Eddie Murphy has been named as the father on the birth certificate of Brown's newborn daughter.
Eddie Murphy has denied all along that he is the father. But Mel B says that there is "absolutely no question that Eddie is the father."
This is the second child for Brown and if proven to be the father, would be the sixth child for Murphy.
