Lee Hyori for Clio: Killer eye liner?

I know this is not really new, but it was today that I managed to update myself on Lee Hyori's latest projects. She's recently involved with a Korean cosmetics brand Clio. She has shot an ad for one of their products called "Waterproof pen liner Kill Black" and she once again proved that she's still one hot diva at age 31. In only two weeks after the launch, 50.000 eye liners were sold and people are starting to call it "Lee Hyori eye liner" (source). See the famous TV ad:

She definitely looks hot in the video, I love the heels, the way she tears the dress and everything... but I feel the eye liner is too strong. Somehow it doesn't suit her so well. I liked it more, when she uses a more discreet eye makeup. I think generally she doesn't need a lot of makeup, because she has that girl next door appeal. She looks better when she smiles than when she tries to be a vamp. I liked her more in the video on the right. But then again, that's just me, someone who's known to have no fashion sense.

What do you think? Is the way she lines her eyes hot? Or too strong? If you're a woman, would you do it this way, too? If you're a guy, would you like your girlfriend do it like Hyori here?

Lee Hyori's new album H.Logic review

Let me introduce Hyori's new album to you

Hyori just turned 31 years old in May

I was meaning to blog about my favorite Korean singer Lee Hyori since I returned from my Seoul trip, but somehow I haven't found the time. Today I can finally introduce to you her newest album, which I bought during that trip few days after it was released.

First of all, let me tell you: I love H.Logic! I think it's Hyori's best album so far, even better than It's Hyorish from 2008.

The songs are of amazing quality and the album is full of awesome collaborations, like with Kang Daesung from Big Bang and E-Tribe, the duo from the 2008 hit "You Go Girl". There's a lot of rap and heavy beats throughout the album, but you'll also find soothing ballads. Hyo-ri's voice is better than ever before. The only downturn are accusations of plagiarism (they're all over You-Tube). It's true, some songs sound like some other English songs from some unknown artists, but Hyori's company MNET says that's because the composer and rightful owner of the songs (Bahnus) supposedly sold them to other artists few years ago. He offered them to Hyori's company this year and made Korean versions. On the other hand, some artists claim they composed the songs. I won't speculate about legal matters, but judging by how things run in South Korea, I'm completely sure that Hyori doesn't have anything to do with this. It's sad, that her haters use this situation to attack her, who, if things turn bad, will sustain the most damage, while leechers (again), will fill up their pockets. I'm not naming any names, but we all know who those are. Hyori did her best this time, the album was really long time in the making and that's really obvious, because it's really an iconic piece of art.

The album was released on 12th May, 2010 in Korea. It features 14 songs, here is the song list:

01. I'm Back*
02. Love Sign (feat. Sang Chu)
03. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (feat. Ceejay)
04. Feel The Same*
05. Bring It Back* (feat. Bekah and Ji Hyun)
06. Highlight (feat. Bizzy)
07. 그네 (Geune; Swing) (feat. Gary)
08. Scandal
09. 100 Percent
10. Want Me Back
11. How Did We Get* (with Daesung)
12. So Cold
13. Get 2 Know (feat. Double K)
14. Memory* (feat. Bizzy)

*Supposedly plagiarized songs: I'm Back, Feel The Same, Bring It Back, How Did We Get and Memory. Sometimes Swing is mentioned, too, but I checked it and don't see any resemblance.

See H.Logic from inside here>>

My favorite songs on H-Logic are Highlight, Scandal and Get 2 Know (*who btw are not even accused of being plagiarized). Those songs always make me feel good and I really really hope Hyo-ri would release them as singles, because they are amazingly good. I also love I'm Back, which as a great opening song and gives you an idea how the whole album will be. The first single Swing and the follow-up single Chitty Chitty Bang Bang were a bit disappointing for me at first. I didn't like Swing's melancholic touch and the video seemed weird to me in the beginning. But now I love the song. It needs some time to get you. I had the similar experience with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a very fast-paced dance song. I thought Hyori went too far into the dance genre, but after a while I started to love that song, too. I'm Back is a powerful opening song and always made me feel good, same goes to Want Me Back and the easygoing Love Sign. The beats are awesome. But there are also ballads like Feel The Same, How Did We Get (using a sample of Annie Lennox's No More I Love Yous) and Memory, three highly melodic and soothing songs, where you can feel the whole range of Hyori's amazing songs.

Hyori has done many photo shoots recently, here for Marie Claire Korea.

What's best about Hyori's new album are the collaborations. Almost every song is featuring some other Korean artist, which adds to the overall quality of the songs. Nevertheless, my favorites are Scandal and Highlight, who don't feature any other artist. They're Hyori at her best and I hope you have the chance to hear them.

Lee Hyori: 30 and uberhot!

My favorite Asian pop singer Lee Hyori, born on 10 May 1979, has proved once again that she's the no 1 sexiest Korean (and most likely) Asian singer. She had a concert in China a month ago and I want to share some lovely pics of her here.

Hyori shows that you can be 30 years old and still be the hottest singer and performer in the pool of countless rising stars, especially in Korea.

You doubt? Check these pics! Still doubting?

For me, she's still number one when it comes to sexiness, catchy songs, music videos and on stage charisma. In my opinion, Asian women look the best between 25 and 35 years. Even though it's common in Asian pop industry, that stars, who turn 30, end their music career, Hyori totally breaks that habit. Her 4th solo album is about to be released soon and probably a ton of performances and concerts will follow.

She will again be no 1 in Korea (and Asia) and I can't wait to get my hands on her new album. Good luck, Hyori! Outshine everybody once again. The stage is yours!

Interview before the concert.

Looking hot with those lovely lips.

Paying attention, thinking.

Focusing, tilting the head in a sexy way.

Dilligently answering every question.

And then performing to the fullest.

Being 30 and rocking the stage? No problem for Hyori!

Recent news about Lee Hyori!

I found some recent news about sexy diva Lee Hyori, my favorite Korean singer. She's now 31 years young and amid of producing her 4th album, that is set for release in 2010, but might be released this October 2009. We shall see. Here's some recent statements she gave, which show that she really matured.

About managing her sexy body: “Usually 2 to 3 days before a photoshooting, I do an urgent diet. Controlling what I eat and exercising are must-dos. I only need to be a little more careful, my body is the type that changes quickly. It’s a body very suitable for an entertainer.”

About her real character: “I’m a little different from the cool image that I have in front of cameras. In front of someone that I don’t know, I don’t say much [...] Talking about things that I regret doing because I’m too timid: I can’t say no, if somebody asks me to borrow him some money. That’s why a lot money didn’t come back.” [source]

About rumours she were a Filipina: “When I first debuted, my skin color was dark and there was an article that was saying I was an illegal Filipino immigrant. Because of that article, a lot of rumors started... The paparazzi photographed me a lot and I was hurt because of that... but now after 10 years, those rumors don't bother me anymore.”

About being 31 years young: “I've thrown away all previous constrictions. Now that I'm in my 30s, I don't rely on or obsess over a boyfriend. When I was in my 20s, all I cared about was cars, cellphones and others, but no more. In the past when I broke up with someone I felt like dying, but now its' much easier for me to accept separation. [source]

Very interesting stuff from Hyori. I feel like the older she gets, the more attractive she becomes. She's really incredible. Someone who followed her biography and discography and someone who loves her music, will agree with me: Lee Hyori is an incredible woman!

Why I love Lee Hyori!

All about Hyori through my eyes
Lee Hyori (Korean 이효리, pronounced "E You Ree") is currently, and has been called for many years before, the Queen of Korean pop. She's born on May 10, 1979 in Cheongwon, a small city located in central South Korea. At age 19, in 1998 Hyori made a major step by joining a Korean girl group Fin K.L., who was extremely successful. Hyori was already outstanding in that time, her talents were noticed by many critics. In 2003 the group split up, although not officially. Some girls started to release their own albums, Hyori was among them. That's where Hyori's rise to fame has begun!1

HYORI AND I: I started to listen to Hyori in 2008, when she released one of her top hits U-Go-Girl. I remember watching Arirang, the Korean TV channel, that broadcasts outside of Korea, in English. They have a show called Pops in Seoul, where they show all the current top hits from Korea. When I saw that video, I was totally captivated. Not only was the song catchy, but Hyori looked so sexy, I thought she's out of this world. After I've seen that video, I started to google info about her, listen to some of her older songs and I was like: Wow, this girl can sing. And that's how I started to listen to her, I've become a fan. Although I admire her as an artist and I'm also a big fan of her radiant beauty (hey, I'm just a man after all), I'm still reasonable and don't take my admiration too far into some kind of creepy obsession. I love my girlfriend and Hyori will never replace her. I remember my girl once asking me, if I had a chance of spending a night with Hyori (in the case Hyori would want it, lol), would I sleep with her? I said no in an instant. Not even in theory I would betray my girl, even if she'd permit me. No way. Would you? (Women and their theoretical questions... sheesh... :-P)

HYORI'S BEST OF: Here's a list of my favorite songs from Hyori. If you're a fan, you know what I'm talking about. Let's start from 2003, from her first Album Stylish E. Hey Girl and 10 Minutes rock my world from the first album, but I also love Do Me and One Two Thre N'Four. From 2004-2005 I love Cleopatra and Together (this one especially is one of my all time favs) and of course AnyMotion, AnyStar and AnyClub. I really love the videos to the latter 3 songs, Hyori acts amazingly well. Then came 2006 and her second album Dark Angel. I love Get Ya and the video to the song. Woohoo, she's looks hot, although the style is not my favorite. I like Straight Up (and the video is lovely), Winter Freshness and EMMM. Then came 2007 and Toc Toc Toc, also one of Hyori's all time greatest songs. I love this one, too. In 2008 came It's Hyorish, a great album, where I truly love every song. And she also wrote some of the songs herself. I think U-Go-Girl will always remain my no 1, because that's how I noticed her. A special mention deserve the songs Unrivaled Lee Hyori, Lesson, A Barbershop's Daughter, PPP and My Life. Then came 2010 and I was so lucky to get her new awesome album H.Logic during my trip to Seoul. I love all the songs, it's really her best album so far. And the best songs are Scandal, Highlight and Get 2 Know, well, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is not bad either and deserves to be mentioned. Hyori is rightfully the Queen of Kpop and for me the best Korean female artist there is. It'll need years for someone to replace her. Hope that doesn't happen soon.

THAT'S WHY I LOVE HYORI, TOO: Here are some of my favorite photos of her.

Hyori is simply beautiful.

But she can also be very sexy.

The photo shoots she makes are always top notch.

She is a woman desired by millions of men.

So many dream of kissing her lips.

She has the cutest smile, a smile you'll hardly forget.

Hyori rocks commercials. She's desired by many companies.

Hyori is glamorous and womanly. She'll captivate you with her female grace.

Hyori is sexy in the small things she does. That look. Isn't it magnificent?

She has some of the hottest legs of Korea. And that's really a statement.

Hyori is a model and performer. Whatever she does is always the best.

Hyori is simply Perfection.
