Military Tattoo Designs

Show Your Love For the Country
The members of the armed forces and other military men use tattoos to remind them of their struggles during war. Some military tattoo designs have been inscribed on these valiant men to symbolize brotherhood among comrades. Civilians who have loved ones who perished during military missions also use tattoos to honor their memories.

The first people who brought the concept of tattooing were sailors who came back from their trips. In fact the oldest and most recognized form of military tattoo is the anchor and nautical stars. Other designs for military tattoo include flags and eagles. These two can be combined with imprints of names of loved ones. The Air Force tattoos have wings on their designs and the army men sport a lot of POW-MIA-themed images.

Whether you are still in service, retired, or another patriot who wants to show love for country, you can have any military design inked on you. There are online tattoo galleries where you can get ideas for a design.  You can browse on actual tattoos on different body parts so you can have an idea on what you might want to use for yourself. You can have the images enlarged and printed so that you can bring the copy to the professional tattoo artist.

In the armed services, there are rules and regulations on military tattoo designs. The soldiers should wear tattoos that can be hidden under shirtsleeves. There shouldn't be any tattoo that is visible on the head or neck too. For regular Joes, there are no rules. You can use the military design of your choice where you want it.
